Week 1 Term 2

This week started off with a bang ... We were super lucky to have the FIFA under 19 soccer team come to our school to play games and take activities with our kids.  Room 4/7 has also had 3 reading groups focusing on Anzac Day and what it means to many people.  We finished off the week on Friday by making some Anzac biscuits which were super yummy.  The children have also taken home the recipe we used in their scrapbooks which we will try to use as a sharing zone between school and home.  If the children make the biscuits and you want to take photos/draw pictures/make notes and include them on the next page that would be great but absolutely is not essential.  We have also started our new topic for this term which is based around learning from and about our past.  We are also planning to visit the pioneer village so please return permission slips as soon as possible.

Sorry no pictures of the kids making Anzac Biscuits ... Mrs G normally takes them on her phone then uploads them straight to our blog ... but ... She dropped her phone on Thursday when we were doing Skipping with us and broke it ... so ... :-(
